Het Glasdorp is a small-scale initiative that tries to repurpose and reuse glass waste in the city. We try to see waste as a local resource (probably the only truly local resource in the city); especially because glass waste is a systematic and abundant waste material. Glass upcycling allows the design and creation of ideas to emerge from the material itself. The shape of the objects is therefore determined by the glass that we find nearby. Through this approach, we discover that creativity comes from limited resources, rather than abundance.
